Best Way To Clean Up Hair In Bathroom

How do you clean hair on the bathroom floor?

There's always so much hair on our bathroom floors and when i use a broom to clean it up, the hair gets stuck in the broom bristles and basically forms a huge hair ball. Is there another way to clean hair on a day to day basis?

With a handheld vacuum. With a wet paper napkin if it's charging. Seriously, I have three kinds of vacuum in my house and I need all of them.

second this.. I bought a handheld vacuum almost exclusively for my bathroom!

Toilet paper collects lint and hair really well.

I use a dry cloth. Wet anything seems to just smear it all around, but a dry fluffy cloth picks it all up pretty well. This is specifically for my husband's bathroom, which is always covered in little beard trimmings. I have long hair, so it's easy to just gather up any loose ones off the floor by hand or a little bit of TP.

I agree - dry swiffer works best for our tile floor.

How do you then clean said cloth?

This is the one thing that I actually appreciate Swiffer dry cloths for. I just run a Swiffer around the floor every other day and it picks up all of my family's hair and dog hair too. I hate the expense and the waste but I hate the grodiness of touching all that dirty hair more.

A rubber squeegee. It's great for hair on any surface, carpet. It's a shower door, they sell then at IKEA for like $5

I use Clorox type wipes, gather up the hair & throw it out.

One thing I've done to reduce the amount of hair around my house generally (I have long hair) is to brush my hair thoroughly a few times a day. Getting it off onto the brush has dramatically reduced the amount around the house. Brushing well before showering has also almost completely eliminated hair in the drains.

Something like a Swiffer or a microfiber mop is the easiest way to gather it up. Those have a bit of a static charge to them and they hold the hair to them and keep it from floating away.

I try to manually wipe/pick up any visible piles with a tissue and throw it away before it has to get stuck in my broom or vacuum roller. But my vacuum's bare floor mode does an amazing job. I have long hair which unfortunately does constantly wind up on the floor in my house.

I just vacuum regularly. My handheld Dyson does the trick. I've got super long hair, so it's always a problem.

A moist toilet paper wad works fairly well. If the hair is getting stuck in the broom though, there may be something else on the floor that's making it stick.... hairspray residue perhaps?

Hi!

I have a black and decker hand vacuum. I wait for the floor to be totally dry (after showers/baths, I mean) and then just use that. I forget the model right now. It's black and gray and I got it from amazon, I think.

I see so many guides on how to clean off hair on the bathroom floor, yet nothing on why we should. Aesthetics and drain clogs, I get. I also get the general idea of preventing the spread of pathogens and whatnot. What I still don't get is...

Why hair specifically? What does hair do to the bathroom that nothing else does? Does it attract dust? Does it attract mites or what-have-you?
